I live in CT. and haven't had a gelling problem using it with Mobil fuel. It seems to have the same smell as the ingredients in the additive that Mobil uses. I have had to clean both of my intake manifolds so it hasn't prevented the clogging problem.

I've noticed that Power Service Diesel Fuel Supplement + Cetane boost runs about $6 or less/32oz that treats 100gal. Based on 500gals of fuel, Stanadyne will run just over 2X as expensive as PS.
