WebOct 29, 2024 · Your phone is in fact fast/superfast charging, they've just changed the wording in the screen. It'll say the charging type for a few seconds then change to only say 'charging'. If you go into the battery settings, it will say fast/superfast charging in there instead. WebThere is a diode on the circuit board, if this is faulty the phone will show to be charging- but the charger will actually drain the hand-set batteries. I de-soldered this off the board and re-placed with a small diode off a defunkt circuit board that I happened to have, any small value diode should fix this. The old diode must be removed. Are you using the Apple USB source that came with the phone, or one with more power (such as an iPad USB power source)? If not, that is your problem.
