If the drive works and you can accept the inconvenience leave it be and continue taping. 2. If it doesn't work or you hate the taping you need to replace the drive. For this CD player, the problem turned out to be a broken belt between the motor and the wheel that has the gear that opens the drawer. If not, you'll have to find a way to unplug the power. Even then, it's not guaranteed to open.
